My vessels are inspired by ancient, broken vessels from archeological digs and in this case it points toward the idea of reliquary. The vessel itself was cast from a plaster mold of a hand thrown form. I cut the wax to open a section between the top and bottom of the form and modeled the bone shapes by hand in wax. After I cast and prepped the bronze fragments, I welded the small bone shapes to the lips of the vessel suspending the top with the tiny “bone” fragments.
