Bone Sketches

This live study rendering was completed in the basement of The Academy of Natural Sciences from their resource files of bones from all imaginable animals. I spent two years working up renderings from skulls in their collection. Later I discovered the Wagner Free Institute’s remarkable collection of skeletons and taxidermy and still use both for research and drawing exercises.
